Where can you find all this, and original translations from the books and recordings of the world's best and most authoritative scholars, and intriguing photo galleries, and on-line courses and educational materials, and much, much more?!

The answer: Only at Bakkah.net!

As you may know, Bakkah.net started out on the web as MAKKAHnet [1] on a free server called Homestead. MAKKAHnet reached a rare level of success for homestead sites, with tens of thousands of page views every month. Our main page itself was viewed by over 20,000 visitors in over 70 countries in MAKKAHnet's 18 month history, and to Allaah is the praise. [2]

On June 25, 2002, for severel reasons, a tough decision was made to remove MAKKAHnet from the web. This decision was announced through our mailing list. (CLICK HERE to read that announcement)

The response from our visitors and mailing list subscribers was overwhelming! Some of our loyal visitors expressed their grief through emails, some questioned our reasoning, and others offered us reasons to go on with the project despite the difficulties. We found so much support from our on-line family, that we could not simply relieve ourselves of the responsibility of maintaining such a benefical and well-received site.

To make a long story short, MAKKAHnet left Homestead and became www.bakkah.net!

Along with our new domain name, we added a number of new features and ideas that were not found on the original MAKKAHnet. Here are some of the improvements you will appreciate at Bakkah.net, in shaa' Allaah:
